Michael Rabara is a seasoned funeral service executive, philanthropist and community leader whose career reflects a deep commitment to public service, professional excellence, and family. He is a graduate of California State University, Fresno, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with an emphasis in Public Policy, and he also holds a degree in Mortuary Science from Cypress College. Michael has worked in the funeral industry for over 28 years, serving in executive leadership roles and providing compassionate guidance to families during some of life’s most difficult moments.
Michael’s dedication to service extends well beyond his professional career through his long-standing involvement with Rotary International. He began his Rotary journey as a RYLA student at Camp Royal. He took the next steps in Rotary and is a member of the North Fresno Rotary Club, where he has served as club president, and he has advanced through the leadership ranks of Rotary District 5230, serving as Assistant Governor and District Governor 2024 - 2025.He will take on the reins of District Foundation Chair and serve as the District 5230 representative to the Council on Legislation for Rotary International, continuing his commitment to advancing Rotary’s mission of service above self.
Michael is married to his husband, Rudy, and together they are raising their 11-year-old son, Stanton. As a family, they enjoy traveling, spending quality time together, and creating lasting memories. Giving back to his community and serving all humanity through service are guiding principles in Michael’s life, shaping both his personal values and his professional endeavors.
