Prerequisites for Presidents Elect
Start your Learning Journey Today!
Your preparation for Far West PELS and your year as Club President begins with two key steps: creating a My Rotary account and completing courses in the Rotary Learning Center. These tools connect you to vital resources, online training, and personalized club data to help you lead with confidence. Here's how to get started and why these steps are required as part of your President-Elect preparation.
Step 1: Create a MyRotary Account
A My Rotary account is your gateway to Rotary’s digital tools. With it, you can access your club’s goals, update records, connect with fellow leaders, and explore online learning.
How to create a My Rotary account:
- Go to my.rotary.org, click “Register.”
- Enter your name and email, and follow the prompts to verify your email and create a password.
Pro Tip: Use the email address your club already has on file. Using a different email may require extra steps to verify your membership.
Step 2: Complete Rotary Learning Center Courses
The Rotary Learning Center is an online platform designed to build your leadership skills at your own pace and track your progress. Rotary International requires Presidents-Elect to complete two specific learning tracks -- Club President Essentials #1 & #2 -- that cover club operations, goal setting, membership, and more. These interactive modules help you step into your role prepared and confident.
Pro Tip: You’ll need to be logged in to My Rotary to view the Learning Center courses.
